Hi, am a bit flat out at the moment but can't miss the chance to post a small selection from the lens of Mr Ian Brady once more. These shots were apparently taken on 1 August 1955 as No. 1 was unloaded in preparation for the celebrations to mark 100 years of NSW (Government) Railways.

ReplyDeleteI agree, particularly the advertising. Imagine the hoo-har which would happen if Sydney Trains said it was going to cover Central Station with advertising hoardings for Eta margarine?

ReplyDeleteI think you'll find that loco sitting inside the main hall of the Powerhouse Museum in Ultimo, Sydney. Along with a few carriages.
